My Favorite HTML5 Tutorials

These are my favorite HTML5 tutorials.

I have found that tutorials that are more digestible work better for me. For example, I really found this one helpful because of how concise and focused it was on teaching necessary beginner skills for HTML5. All of the video contents were very to the point and easy to understand.

This video had some different information presented compared to the rest. This one was discussing beginner HTML5 skills in terms of web design. It was a bit harder for me to understand but as I put together what we’ve learned in class it became easy for me to follow. I think it was a well put together video that was informative.

I think this video was by far my favorite, it was short and easy to understand. The creator of the video had a great understanding of HTML which allowed him to create a video that highlighted the most important things to know. I felt I learned the most from this video because of how focused it was on building necessary foundational skills.

Week One Post

My name is Jasmin Jewell and I am a Freshman working towards a degree in Advertising and PR and a minor in Digital Media. I was born in New York city and moved to Tampa when I was young. I’ve been making art as a hobby since I was young and didn’t start messing with digital art until the past year. My expectations going into this class were that it would be heavily project based utilizing a variety of Adobe softwares. By the contents of the syllabus, it seems I am proven correct. I am someone who works really well with assignments that inspire creativity rather than memorization of class contents. The project have me very excited to dive into these softwares as these are skills I will utilize throughout my career. I’m really looking forward to gaining design experience and building a portfolio. In high school, I learned that I work a lot better with assignments that ask me to be creative and to brainstorm ideas and work towards a goal rather than retaining information to be tested in a single moment. Im also really obsessed with sound, whether it be in film or music I think it’s an incredibly powerful tool. The garage band project caught my eye and I am really excited to bring my ideas to life.
